SAS – Subaortic Stenosis In A 9-Month-Old Male Mastiff Mixed Breed: Our Case Of the Month July 2022

A 9-month-old intact male Mastiff mixed breed with history of being underweight presented at a referral facility for echocardiogram due to heart murmur.

Inflamed gallbladder mucocele and cystic duct in a 16 year old FS DSH cat

This 16 year old FS DSH cat presented with sudden onset anorexia and ADR 3 days prior. 4/9 BCS, 5-7% dehydrated. Blood glucose mildly elevated, mild increase GGT, mildy increased globulin . PCV 34%, TP 9.9. USPG 1.022

CT – Gastrc ulceration with emptying disorder and reactive lymphadenitis in a 9 year old MN Labrador Retriever

This 9 year old MN Labrador Retriever presented for recurrent vomiting which is progresseively getting worse, and poor appetite with weight loss (20 pounds in the last 2 months). Inconsistent diarrhea. Endoscopy showed significant GI ulceration, suspect pancreatic tmor or MCT.

Intussusception in a 1 year old MN DSH cat

This 1 year old MN DSH cat has been chronically underweight despite good appetite. No reported vomiting or diarrhea. On Cobalamin oral supplementation. CBC/Chem: ALT 337; bile acids pre 2.4, post 4.8

CT – Nasal soft tissue neoplasia with osteolysis and URT obstruction in a 4 year old M dog

This 4 year old M canine prsented with nasal congestion with bloody discharge; underweight. Biopsy pending from mass seen on rhinoscopy.

Gastric mass occupying the pyloric outflow, cytology high grade lymphoma in a 7 year old FS DSH cat

This 7 year old FS DSH cat presented in emaciated condition and has a palpable abdominal mass.

CT – Possible triaditis with cholangitis and pancreatitis in a 7 year old Devon Rex with intermittent vomiting and diarrhea

This 7 year old MN Devon Rex cat has a history of intermittent vomiting and diarrhea of 3 months duration. Weight loss.  Physical exam: underweight, gas in intestinal tract

CT – Retrobulbar and retromolar abscessation with regional septic myositis in a 10 year old FS Persian cat

This 10 year old FS Persian cat presented with left eye miotic but reactive, decreased menace, exopthalamus, anorexia. Dental procedure 4 days prior. Underweight, seems painful in mouth.

RAD -Chronic lower airway disease and hypovolemia in a 16 year old FS DLH cat with chronic renal failure and IMHA

This 16 year old FS DLH cat has a history of chronic renal failure and recently IMHA.  Physical exam: very thin, slightly jaundiced, quiet. PVC 24%, TP 5.8g/dl. Received tranfusion.

RAD – Pulmonary metastatic and chronic airway disease in a 10 year old MN mixed dog

This 10 year old MN mixed dog was found abandoned and presented with muffled heart sounds, grade 2/6 left systolic murmur, intermittent irregular arrythmia.  Physical exam: dehydrated, severe dental disease, intermittent left front lameness, severe hindlimb weakness, underweight, several large SQ masses with one ulcerated and necrotic. HCT 32%, hookworms.
