A 16-year-old SF DSH with a history of diabetes and hyperthyroidism was presented for evaluation of vomiting, diarrhea, and anorexia. Urinalysis showed SG of 1.017, proteinuria, and hematuria with negative bacterial growth. Coagulation panel was mildly elevated.

An 11-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of acute vomiting and anorexia with a history of weight loss over 3 months.

A 17-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of recent onset vomiting, inappetence, and lethargy. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild anemia, elevated  amylase and ALP activity, and severely elevated ALT activity (874).

An 8-year-old NM DLH with a history of weight loss and anorexia was presented for evaluation of a mid-abdominal mass.

Focal pancreatitis in a 15 year old FS Jack Russell dog

A 15-year-old spayed female Jack Russell was presented for evaluation of vomiting and anorexia. The dog had had a splenectomy 9 months prior. A collapsing trachea and PU/PD were also noted in the history. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, elevated liver enzyme activity, and azotemia.

A 10-year-old NM Chihuahua that had been recently treated for pancreatitis and DKA was evaluated for ongoing anorexia. Serum biochemistry showed hyperglycemia and severely elevated ALP and GGT activity.

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (insulinoma) in a 14 year old FS American Eskimo Spitz dog

A 14-year-old SF American Eskimo was presented for evaluation of persistent hypoglycemia, lethargy, and anorexia. On blood work hypoglycemia, mildly elevated ALP and ALT activity, and normal baseline cortisol and insulin were evident. 

Ureterolith with hydronephrosis in a 13 year old FS Dachshund

A 13-year-old female spayed Dachshund was presented for evaluation of weight loss, inappetence, and frequent urination. Urinalysis showed inappropriate SG (1.020), proteinuria, and hematuria. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, mild anemia, and hypoalbuminemia.

Ureterolith with hydronephrosis in a 12 year old FS Burmese cat

A 12-year-old spayed female Burmese cat was presented for evaluation of renal disease, weight loss, and anorexia. Urinalysis showed isosthenuria and azotemia were present on blood work. CBC was normal.

Bilateral renomegaly, likely lymphoma, in a 10 year old MN Maine Coon cat

A 10-year-old neutered male Maine Coon cat with a history of mega-colon was presented for evaluation of passing smaller stools, vomiting bile, and decreased appetite. On physical examination, a palpable abdominal mass was present.
