Severe renal dysplasia in a 5 month old, FS, Dogo Argentino

A 5-month-old SF Dogo Argentino was presented for evaluation of PU/PD, weight loss, and recent onset vomiting. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild anemia, severe azotemia (BUN 256, creatinine 9.4) and severely elevated inorganic phosphate (20.8). Urine culture was negative.

Right auricular and right ventricular mass with tamponade, likely hemangiosarcoma, in a 13 year old FS Cairn Terrier

A 13-year-year FS Cairn terrier with a history PuPd was presented for evaluation of an episode of collapse. Pale mucous membranes were present on physical examination and serum biochemistry showed elevated ALP activity (1853).

Urethral mass and non-obstructive bladder stones in a 14 year old FS mixed breed dog

A 14-year-old FS Mix breed dog with a history of UTI that had responded to Baytril and Clavamox was presented for evaluation of PU/PD. Physical examination was normal. On urinalysis, round cells with prominent nuclei were evident.

Inflamed gallbladder mucocele with mucoduct and micro hepatica in a 13 year old MN Bichon

Bichon, NM, 13 years. annual exam – doing well, PU/PD – but per owner has always been PU/PD, increased liver values, h/o surgically corrected Portosystemic shunt in 11 years ago.  ALKP 439, ALT 862, AST 168, albumin 2.5, globulins 4.4, BUN subnormal at 5, white count 17.7, urine specific gravity 1.009.

Bladder mass occupying trigone, CUJ and majority of bladder, likely TCC, in a 14 year old MN Australian Shepherd

A 14-year-old MN Australian Shepherd was presented for evaluation of a 10-day duration of hematuria, urinary incontinence, and PU/PD that had not improved with enrofloxacin. CBC was within reference range and abnormalities on serum biochemistry were mildly elevated ALP activity and cholesterol. Survey radiographs showed irregular mineralization in the trigone area of the bladder. 

Left adrenal mass and left liver mass in a 12 year old MN DLH cat

A 12-year-old NM DLH was presented for evaluation of one-month duration of hiding in strange places, inappropriate urination, and PuPD.
