A 12-year-old female spayed West Highland White terrier dog was presented for evaluation of pollakiuria and stranguria of 4 weeks duration. Urinalysis showed an inappropriately low SG (1.015), blood, and large number of epithelial cells. Blood work showed mildly elevated ALP activity and CK.
Urethral mass in a 13 year old FS Korean Jindo dog
The patient is a spayed female Korean Jindo dog, who was presented because she is straining to urinate. Urinalysis showed a urine specific gravity of 1.059, pH 6.0, 2+ protein, 3+ blood, 4-10 white cells, and 21-50 red cells.
Portosystemic Shunt (PSS), Cystic Calculus in a 10 year old MN Shih Tzu dog
A 10-year-old MN Shih Tzu was presented for evaluation of intermittent stranguria and weight loss. On rectal palpation, there was some thickening of the prostate. Urinalysis and radiographs were both within normal limits and blood work showed elevated ALP activity.

A 10-year-old FS American Eskimo dog was presented for stranguria, hematuria, pollajuria and just not herself. She was non responsive to therapy for UTI. Severe azotemia and moderate anemia developed. Urinalysis revealed proteinuria, elevated WBC, blood and transitional cells, and isosthenuria.
