Adrenal masses

Adrenal masses

14 year old MN Shih Tzu with abdominal pain and weight loss. Nodular liver, mineralised/old age kidneys and enlarged adrenal glands. Do you think this is most likely adenocarcinoma? Does this occur bilaterally? Is there vascular invasion? No clinical signs consistent with phaeochromocytoma and apparently not with cushings.

SAM and HCM

9 month old male neutered Bengal with a heart murmur.  Can you have SAM without HCM? Although I do think this case has mild hypertrophy. Is SAM/DLVOTO only of relevance if causing increased velocity across LVOT with dagger shaped aortic profile?

Pleural effusion dog

Cytology has come back as reactive haemorrhagic effusion.  I have aspirated the affected lung lobe which is consolidated with hyperechoic densities within, sent to lab.  Could I have anyone’s opinion on the thoracic radiographs as now I am concerned about a lung lobe torsion. It is the right cranial lung lobe that is affected.  Thank…

Pericardial effusion

– 10 year old Springer Spaniel presented for cough, panting, lethargy  – G 5/6 left systolic murmur, tachycardic, panting – Massive cardiac silhouette and pulmonary pattern on rads – Severe mitral regurg, left atrial and ventricular dilation with deduced systolic function.
