A 10-year-old NM Labrador cross was presented for inappetence, abdominal pain, heavy breathing, and intermittent abdominal distension. Blood work was normal. Survey radiographs showed splenomegaly and decreased liver size. 

Right Auricular mass with pericardial effusion and tamponade in a 12 year old MN Dachshund dog

A 12-year-old MN Dachshund was presented for evaluation of abdominal distension that had been noticed after grooming. Additional history was that after grooming anorexia and vomiting had developed.  Abnormalities CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis and mildly elevated ALT activity (239).  Survey radiographs showed cardiomegaly, pulmonary edema, pleural effusion, and splenomegaly. 

CT – Extraaxial intracranial neoplasia level with the left frontal lobe and olfactory bulb, likely meningioma, in a 8 year old FS Great Dane dog

This 8 year old FS Great Dane dog presented 1 month ago for possible seizure, moderately elevated liver enzymes, U/S revealed nodule in liver and large spleen. The patient is a 6 year old neutered male ferret who was presented with an enlarged spleen on palpation. The patient is on prednisone. 

Splenic lymphoma in a 15 year old MN DSH cat

A 15-year-old neutered male DSH cat was presented for evaluation of polyphagia, weight loss, and severe splenomegaly. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, mild hypoalbuminemia, and an elevated BUN 42.

Septic pyogranulomatous splenitis in an 11 year old Standard Poodle dog

An 11-year-old FS Standard Poodle was presented for depression and anorexia. The physical exam revealed mild palpable splenomegaly. Blood analysis revealed a moderate neutrophilia (43,000 WBC) with a left shift. Blood chemistry was normal.
