The patient is a canine mixed breed, 11 years old, neutered male, with a history of respiratory distress. The patient has a grade IV/VI left sided heart murmur.

A 6-year-old NM Boxer dog was presented for lethargy, cough, tachypnea, exercise intollerance. Physical exam revelaed a 2/6 left sided heart murmur and mild tachypnea and arrhythmia. The only abnormality on laboratory work was elevated amylase and creatinine.

Additional history included urinary tract infections, which resolved on Clavamox therapy. The only significant abnormality on physical examination was grade III/VI murmur. Urinalysis was within normal limits.

A 10-year-old neutered male West Highland Terrier was presented for hematuria. The only finding on physical examination was a soft cardiac murmur. Abnormalities on urinalysis were 1+ bilirubin and trace blood.
Trichobezoar in a 16-year-old MN DSH cat
A 16-year-old MN DSH cat was presented for evaluation of weight loss and anorexia. Grade II-III/VI heart murmur, systemic hypertension, and tachycardia were present on physical examination. Urinalysis showed an SG of 1.022 and mild hematuria. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis, monocytosis, thrombocytopenia, and elevated urea. T4 was within normal range.
