The patient is a 5 year old, FS, Weimaraner dog. Chronic vomiting (6 months) has increased in frequency recently. Concern for pyloric issues, gastric distension. Concern for enlarged mandibular glands.

Abnormalities on physical examination were tense abdomen, mild dehydration, and moderate dental tartar. Urinalysis (free-flow sample) showed inappropriate SG, (1.017), hematuria, and, pyuria. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis, monocytosis, neutrophilia, azotemia, and hyponatremia.

A 3-year-old MN DSH cat, with a history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, was presented for weight loss and vomiting. Additional history included urinary tract infections, which resolved on Clavamox therapy. The only significant abnormality on physical examination was grade III/VI murmur. Urinalysis was within normal limits.
