A 12-year-old FS Golden Retriever was presented for anorexia and weight loss. On physical examination pyrexia, weak hindquarters, and multiple growths were present. CBC and T4 were within normal limits. Abnormalities on serum biochemistry were azotemia, elevated liver enzymes, and hypercholesterolemia.

An 8-year-old FS mixed breed dog was referred for partial anorexia and mild lethargy. Mild painful cranial abdomen was noted on physical exam. CBC and blood chemistry panel were unremarkable. Urinalysis revealed 3+ proteinuria with isosthenuria. Systolic blood pressure was 220 mm Hg.
Metastatic splenic carcinoma diagnosed by FNA in an 8 year old MN cat
An 8-year-old MN cat, with history of FIV-positive status, was presented for inappetence for 2 weeks. On physical examination, mucoid diarrhea, weight loss, and tenesmus was present. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included mild anemia, mild hypoalbuminemia, and elevated ALP, and hyperglobulinemia.
Jejunal foreign body in a 2-year-old F Mastiff dog
A 2-year-old F Mastiff dog was presented for weight loss, inappetence, and vomiting for 2 weeks. On physical examination the body score was 2/5 and the abdomen was painful on palpation. A cranial abdominal mass was noted on survey radiographs. No laboratory work was performed.
Possible Addison’s disease in an 8 year old MN Labrador Retriever
An 8-year-old MN Labrador Retriever dog was presented for anorexia, lethargy, and diarrhea of 1 week’s duration. Physical examination was within normal limits. Abnormalities on laboratory testing were elevated liver enzyme activity and hyperamylasemia. Pre and post ACTH cortisol was 0.4 and 0.3 ug/dL, respectively.

A 10-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog was presented for vomiting, anorexia, and diarrhea for 4 days. Physical examination was non-remarkable. Abnormalities on CBC and blood chemistry were leukocytosis, monocytosis, neutrophilia, lymphopenia, mild thrombocytopenia, hypoalbuminemia, and hypoproteinemia. Radiographs showed a prominent pylorus and some gas accumulation in the small intestines.
