Leptospirosis in a 12 year old FS mixed dog

The patient is a canine mix, FS, 12 ½ years. The patient is anorexic and lethargic. The patient has a tense abdomen. Anemic. BUN and creatinine were elevated. ALKP, bilirubin, GGT elevated. The patient was treated and then BUN was 48 and creatinine 2.9.

An 11-year-old SF Bichon dog was presented with a history of 3-4 days of lethargy, anorexia, and vomiting. Abnormalities on physical examination were tense abdomen, mild dehydration, and moderate dental tartar. Urinalysis (free-flow sample) showed inappropriate SG, (1.017), hematuria, and, pyuria. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis, monocytosis, neutrophilia, azotemia, and hyponatremia.

Hemorrhagic pyelonephritis, causing retroperitoneal bleeding, in a 3 year old intact male Jack Russell

A 3-year-old intact male Jack Russell terrier dog was presented for urinating in the house and not being right. Abnormalities on physical examination were pale mucus membranes and tense abdomen. Anemia and leukocytosis was present on CBC. On survey radiographs a retroperitoneal enlargement causing ventral displacement of the colon was evident.

Pyelonephritis in a 10 year old FS DSH cat

A 10-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of oral ulcers and anorexia for several days. On physical examination, resistance to abdominal palpation was present. Urinalysis showed isosthenuria, 1+ protein, and trace hematuria. Abnormalities on serum biochemistry were azotemia, hyperphosphatemia, and mild hyperkalemia.
