On physical examination grade IV/VI murmur and pulmonary crackles were present. Therapy with furosemide, Clavamox, Vetmedin, Enalapril, and aminophylline resulted in some improvement.

A 14-year-old MN Border Collie presented for coughing. A grade 4/6 left sided mitral murmur was noted on auscultation. Preliminary radiographs were reviewed with generalized cardiomegaly and hilar density. This is consistent with pulmonary edema. Left atrial enlargement and vascular congestion appeared evident.

A 15-year-old FS DSH with was presented for decreased appetite and lethargy with a history of hypoalbuminemia, hypomagnesemia, and hypocalcemia. On physical examination weight loss, pyrexia, dehydration, icterus, and a grade III/VI heart murmur were present.
