A 2-year-old SF Pug/Boston mix was presented for evaluation of signs of estrus. On physical examination, the vulva was swollen and there was a red-tinged discharge.

The patient is a 5 year old spayed female ferret that was presented for a history of bilateral flank alopecia and vulvar enlargement. The patient also exhibited infrequent rear limb ataxia. Blood glucose was normal.
Ovarian remnant in a 3 year old FS Labrador Retriever with recurrent heat cycles
A 3-year-old FS Labrador Retriever was presented for evaluation of recurrent estrous episodes. Owners noted vulvar swelling and discharge twice a year with prolonged heat cycles. Spay had been routine without any obvious complications.
