Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Large mass suspected to originate in the right adrenal gland.

Image Interpretation

A large mass was noted adjacent to or involving the right adrenal gland; this mass measured 4.16 x 2cm. The mesentery surrounding the mass was hyperechoic and appeared reactive. The mass appeared to expand possibly through the phrenic vein, into the vena cava, and over to the left side of the abdomen adjacent to the left adrenal gland. The parenchyma of the mass was uniform.
