The patient presented for weight loss, occasional vomiting, not herself, lethargic. CBC revealed mild anemia and elevated thyroid values. Clinical exam revealed a palpable intestinal mass and poor body condition.
Pyelonephritis in a 5 year old FS DLH cat
A 5-year-old FS DLH cat was presented for hiding at home and anorexia. Abnormalities on physical examination included a large urinary bladder and mild dehydration. Leukocytosis was present on CBC; blood chemistry was within normal limits. Survey abdominal radiographs showed left-sided renomegaly and a small right kidney.
Mast Cell Neoplasia in a 15 year old MN DSH cat
This 15-year-old MN controlled hyperthyroid DSH was presented for hyporexia, diarrhea, and hiding. The physical exam revealed poor body condition and palpably ropey intestines. The CBC was normal while the blood chemistry analysis revealed subnormal thyroid levels and mild azotemia. The urinalysis was normal other than mild evidence of UTI.
