The patient is a feline DSH, SF, 12 years old who was presented for ADR, hiding, and a decreased appetite.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Distal small mass with partial obstructive pattern. Regional inflammation. Lymphoma is a primary differential. Very guarded prognosis.

Image Interpretation

The distal small intestine in this patient revealed concentric intestinal mass with solid power Doppler assessment at the ileocecal region with retention of ingesta. The remainder of the intestine revealed mild hypertrophy of the muscularis without loss of detail. Intraoperative ultrasound and aggressive resection and anastomosis would be recommended. Slight, regional lymphadenopathy was noted and measured 0.5 x 0.8 cm.

DX

Outcome

The patient was euthanized.
