Peripancreatic sponge foreign body in a 3 year old MN Pointer **April 2013 COM**

A 3-year-old neutered male Pointer cross dog was presented for vomiting/diarrhea. Endoscopy of the stomach and duodenum was within normal limits. Blood work was unremarkable, but palpation of the cranial abdomen revealed some discomfort.

A 16-year-old SF DSH with a history of diabetes and hyperthyroidism was presented for evaluation of vomiting, diarrhea, and anorexia. Urinalysis showed SG of 1.017, proteinuria, and hematuria with negative bacterial growth. Coagulation panel was mildly elevated.

Right adrenal mass with invasion into caudal vena cava in a 12 year old MN Corgi

A 12-year-old neutered male Corgi dog was presented for evaluation due to recurrent hemorrhagic diarrhea. Fecal analysis was negative. Laboratory testing showed hypoalbuminemia, hyperglobulinemia, and elevated liver enzyme activity.

Subacute pancreatitis in a 9 year old FS Chinese Crested

A 9-year-old FS Chinese Crested dog was presented for evaluation of intermittent hemorrhagic chronic diarrhea. Fecal was negative. Blood work showed hypolbuminemia (1.1) and hyperglycemia (442).

Prostatic carcinoma diagnosed by ultrasound-guided FNA in a 14 year old MN Pomeranian

A 14-year-old neutered male Pomeranian dog was presented for evaluation of pollakiuria,  diarrhea, inappetence, and lethargy. Abnormalities on physical examination included a painful, enlarged and symmetrical prostate, a very large and firm urinary bladder that could be expressed, and a grade III/VI heart murmur. On survey thoracic radiographs, calcification of the prostate gland was evident.

Non-DCM cardiomyopathy, depressed function with ventricular tachycardia and fusion beats in an 11-year-old MN Labrador retriever with exercise intolerance and lethargy

An 11-year-old MN Labrador retriever was prestented for excercise intolerance, lethargy, depression, vomiting and diarrhea. The physical exam was unremarkable other than a grade 2 left sided heart mumur at the heart base and irregular heart beat with pulse deficits. CBC, CHEM, UA, and acth stim were all normal.
