ureteral papilla?

Sonopath Forum

14y FS Rat Terrier.  PUPD since March, now urinating q2h, often small amounts.  Blood work in June showed mild renal azotemia with WBCs present on UA (rDVM lab work – can’t determine if they saw bacteria).  Normal CBC.  Did not respond to a trial of Baytril.  Ultrasound limited to urinary system due to finances.  The raised areas I am seeing on the dorsal bladder wall appear slighly more cranial than I would expect the ureteral papilla, but are in the caudal 1/3 of the bladder and are in close association.  The left is almost on midline and more irregular

Also – can you please give input on somewhat hyperechoic patchy left kidney without renal pelvis dilation?

Those are in the position of the u paps and nothing else in the bladder. Stone movers often have hypertrophied u paps and if you look closely they hold curvilinear detail so I think they are just hypertrophied u paps. He has pinpoint stones in the kidney and a little pyelectasia also common in stone movers. I’m going with the stone mover probability here:)
