This 5 year old MN Rat Terrier presented with microhepatica on ultrasound, R/O liver shunt CBC/Chem: BUN 47.3, bile acids pre 12.2, post 43.4

Splenoazygos Shunt in a 10 year old MN Schnauzer with bile acid elevation

This 10 year old MN Schnauzer dog has a history of low BUN from 10/2015. Elevated bile acids panel (pre 49, post 77). Rads show small liver, bladder stone. Asymptomatic.

CT – Portal Hypertension with possible Arteriovenous Fistula in a 2 year old FS Havanese dog

Abdominal ultrasound revealed small liver, ascites, shunt. Bile acids were elevated. Started the patient on amoxicillan and metronidazole. CBC was normal. Chemistry showed BUN low, ALT elevated. Urinalysis was WNL.
