A 6-year-old intact female Rottweiler was presented for routine ovariohysterectomy but on physical examination showed weight loss, lethargy, pale mucosa, and tense abdomen on palpation. Abnormalities on CBC were anemia, thrombocytopenia, lymphocytosis, and monocytosis. On survey radiographs, a possible mass effect cranial-mid-abdomen was present. 

Congenital Addison’s disease in a 5 month old M English Springer Spaniel

  History:  A 5-month-old male English springer spaniel was presented for evaluation of acute onset diarrhea and vomiting. On physical examination lethargy, dehydration, hypothermia, and bradycardia was present. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild lymphocytosis and mild eosinophilia, azotemia, hyperphosphatemia, hypercalcemia, hyponatremia and hypokalemia. Urinalysis showed SG of SG-1.015, proteinuria, and glycosuria.
