Image Interpretation

Rads of the thorax –

The cardiovascular structures including the pulmonary vasculature are within normal limits. Multiple small round well-defined mineral opaque opacities are noted super imposed with the lung parenchyma.

DX

The current radiographic study does not reveal pathological changes that can explain the clinical signs.

Outcome

No radiographic evidence of relevant cardiac or pulmonary disease Incidental pulmonary osteomas Full cardio workup including echocardiography is strongly advised to screen for early stage or occult DCM.

Comments

This 6 year old F intact Great Dane has a history of occasional coughing after resting, and lethargy after exercise. PE: Increased resting heart rate when relaxed, arrhythmia noted.
