A 6-year FS Havanese with history of vomiting (mostly at night and in morning) for a few weeks; no diarrhea. Recent bloodwork found ALB 16, TP 40, GLOB 24 with other parmaters WNL. A fecal was negative. Urine SG 1.035, no protein on chemstrip and urine pro:crea ratio was pending.

A 10-year-old female spayed DSH cat was presented for evaluation of intermittent diarrhea, weight loss, and anorexia. Blood work was unremarkable.

A 6-month-old intact male Labrador was presented for evaluation of diarrhea and vomiting for approximately 1 week and more recently only hemorrhagic diarrhea. 

Reverse VSD and Eisenmenger’s syndrome

An 8-week-old female Silky Terrier was presented for evaluation of dyspnea and diarrhea. No murmur was auscultated on physical examination. Parvo snap test was negative and hematocrit was 28%. Survey radiographs show right-sided cardiomegaly, focal area of pulmonary consolidation, and an enlarged PA.

Splenic mass in a 12 year old FS Sheltie dog

A 12-year-old spayed female Sheltie dog with a history of poor appetite over a few weeks was presented for evaluation of anorexia, lethargy, and diarrhea. Abnormalities on physical examination included dehydration, slight polypnea, and possible ascites with a non-tender abdomen. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry included leukocytosis, azotemia, and hyperkalemia.
