A 6-year-old NM French bulldog was presented for evaluation of lethargy over a 5-day period, head tilt, hunched neck, and arched back. Abnormalities on serum biochemistry were elevated ALT, AST, and ALP activity.

The patient is a canine Yorkie, SF, 11 years, 7.7 lbs. Very painful cranial abdomen, sudden onset of vomiting. PE: Extremely painful and thickened intestines. Hemoconcentration, all else unremarkable. GGT- 15 (0-14) ALT-158 (0-120.)

A 15-year-old SF DSH was presented for evaluation of abdominal pain. 

Suspected pancreatic abscess in a 9 year old MN Labrador Retriever

A 9-year-old NM Labrador Retriever dog was presented for evaluation of acute onset abdominal pain, vomiting, and lethargy. Laboratory testing showed mild anemia, neutrophilia with a left shift, thrombocytopenia, elevated ALP, hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia.  

Stump garnuloma open pyometra in a 15 month old FS Shih Tzu

A 15-month-old SF Shih Tzu dog was presented for evaluation of frequent urination and painful abdomen a few days after having an ovariohysterectomy. On physical examination the patient was depressed and had a painful caudal abdomen at the site of incision.

The patient is a Poodle, NM, 10 years. Anorexia, painful abdomen, suspected enlarged LA on radiographs by referring veterinarian, had pancreatitis two weeks prior. Grade 3 left sided heart murmur. No clinical signs were present consistent with heart disease

Splenic thrombus in a 2 year old SF mixed breed dog with Evans syndrome

A 2-year-old SF mixed breed dog was presented for evaluation of acute onset abdominal pain, polypnea, salivation, and shaking. Pancreatitis with regional lymphadenopathy in a 7 year old MN American Eskimo dog

A 7-year-old NM American Eskimo dog was presented for evaluation of vomiting, diarrhea, inappetence, and abdominal pain. Pancreatitis was suspected on blood work due to elevated lipase and amylase. The dog had improved with medical intervention (anti-emetics, H2 blockers, pain meds, SQ fluids, and Flagyl) but colitis signs were still present.
