This 9 year old FS Shih Tzu presented with a known cardiac mass, and stable valvular disease. CT to determine surgical resectability and staging to identify any metastatic disease in chest or abdomen.

RAD – Pulmonary metastatic and chronic airway disease in a 10 year old MN mixed dog

This 10 year old MN mixed dog was found abandoned and presented with muffled heart sounds, grade 2/6 left systolic murmur, intermittent irregular arrythmia.  Physical exam: dehydrated, severe dental disease, intermittent left front lameness, severe hindlimb weakness, underweight, several large SQ masses with one ulcerated and necrotic. HCT 32%, hookworms.

Right Auricular mass with pericardial effusion and tamponade in a 12 year old MN Dachshund dog

A 12-year-old MN Dachshund was presented for evaluation of abdominal distension that had been noticed after grooming. Additional history was that after grooming anorexia and vomiting had developed.  Abnormalities CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis and mildly elevated ALT activity (239).  Survey radiographs showed cardiomegaly, pulmonary edema, pleural effusion, and splenomegaly.
