Image Interpretation

Urinary bladder was empty, yet concentrically thickened consistent with chronic cystitis. A moderate amount of echogenic free fluid was noted. Uterus was dilated.

The spleen was uniform, yet volume contracted. There was no evidence of pathology noted. Hydration status should be evaluated.

Reactive mesentery was noted.

Outcome

Recommend immediate exploratory surgery with expectations towards abdominal lavage. Plasma transfusion would be ideal. Aggressive treatment for potential sepsis is recommended. Broad spectrum antibiotics.
