Hello,

Fritz is a 6 years old M/N Schnautzer that presented with straining while urinating. Rectal palpation identified a mass in the pelvic entry cranial at the site of prostate.

I did an FOCUS US and to me it looks like the pelvic urethra “goes” into the mass. Bladder seems to be clean. Couldn’t identify any enlarged pelic LN. I strongly suspect Urethral Transitional Carcinoma. Was able to see fluid moving inside the “mass” and I assume this is most likelly urine. FNA in clinic revealed multiple Transitional Cells with anysocytosis, anysokariosis, multiple nucleoli and no neutrophyls, bacteria.

My question : can this still be a prostate mass?  And if so would the treatment be any different ?

Thank you
