This is a 10 yr old Basset mix. She lost several pounds and has decreased appetite. Her Alk Phos was increased slightly.I have not included images of an emerging GB mucocoele which I found. I am curious about the stomach wall. I have thickening 8mm and I believe some loss of normal layering. I am questioning the hyperechoic regions intramural. Thanks

This first image has an angle that shows prominent gastric mucosae but the serosa muscularis and sumucosal layering are solidly in tact and no periserosal inflamed fat or anything. The second image has luminal artifact and less info. Maybe a gastritis here if the clinical signs fit but nothing more that I see. the hyperechoic areas could be scarring from old ulcers but usually those are triangular and no layering disturbances are present so dont think its active. You can try a hi reolution 12-14 mhz linear probe here and run the bowel further.
Typical ulcer would look like this in the basic search under gastric ulcer

consider addisons with gastritis cases as well especially with lower albumin and wt loss…. honestly I dont even pay much attention to Na/K ratios any more if it can be Addisons and I have nothing else to go on I just stim….based on our research

See lots of Basset Hounds
See lots of Basset Hounds with Atypical Addisons. Normal mineralcorticoid activity but minimal response to stim. For some reason I can only see 2 of the 3 images.
