Splochy Spleen

Sonopath Forum

Princess is an 11 year old F/S GSD seen today for UTI…During U/S for Cystocentesis I notice this spleen setting back by the bladder. Owner consented to full scan but did not want to pay for the Sonopath Consult…

2 things concern me…1 is the spleen and the second is the LAD has a large caudal pole. The spleen doesn’t quite have the leopard skin pattern to it but sure doesn’t look normal. I got FNA’s but they don’t want to send them unless I can convince them the spleen is worrisome. Dog does have a UTI…

Thanks in advance for any comments…Everyone have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.

This is likely a hyperplastic

This is likely a hyperplastic spleen. The capsule is well contained to scalloping or outward swelling is the key here. Left adrenal is bug. Hyperplasia likely, maybe carcinoma or pheo starting check a bp and if cushingoid work that up as well.
