Miles is a twelve year old, MN, Corgi diabetic who recently has had low blood glucose and fructosamine levels. We discontinued his insulin and his fasted glucose is 80. In the past 3 days, Miles has become hyporexic to anorexic, lethargic and painful in his abdomen. This video clip shows what I believe to be a large abdominal mass communicated with the spleen. My ultrasound machine is not allowing me to upload this study as we normally do to Sonopath…GE and Sound engineers are to call me back with tech help. Can anyone offer me an opinion on this video? Thanks!

Hi Jenn! I’m glad I was able to help you figure out a work around for these technical issues so you could get this case sent in and read. Your STAT report is ready and on your reporting site. Let me know if I can help you with anything else and looking forward to seeing you next week at the SDEP echo lab!
Hi Jenn,

Hi Jenn,
From that one cine loop, its hard appreciate a shared parenchyma betwwen the mass and spleen. It could also be a hepatic mass, but again hard to say without showing a bridge between parenchyma and the mass.
Could you put color on the mass and see a shared vessel between the two?
Cant define liver or spleen
Cant define liver or spleen on this vierw. Go SDEP position 9 or high paralumbar 8 and see if you can get the hepatic capsule in 9 to wrap around the mass or same for spleen in position 8 high paralumbar. When there’s a mass there remember to go high left intercostal or paralumba as everythign is pushed dorsally.
