With Addison’s adrenal glands generally are small (< 0.3 cm) and appear flattened but a normal appearance of the glands does not rule out Addisons and would recommend a basal cortisol ± ACTH stimulation test. Amylase/lipase not great for diagnosing pancreatitis. Quantitative cPL or PSL far superior.

Thank you Remo,
If Addison, the two adrenals should be flattened?

Remo Lobetti

Should be but far better to rule out with a basal cortisol or an ACTH stimulation test if you suspect Addison’s

Thanck you
