Interesting GI tumour

Sonopath Forum

Interesting GI tumour

– 11 year old MN Boston Terrier with history of weight loss, decreased appetite and bloody diarrhea

– interesting mass found on ultrasound in the jejunum which looks like it is intra-luminal and perhaps coming from the mucosa or submucosa layer at a focal region as I can see it sliding against what looks like normal wall

– looks like some ulceration and possible necrosis with cystic regions

– not sure what this could be but possibly smooth cell tumour like a leiomyoma or leiomyosarcoma, granuloma, other?

– I would cut this out in a minute as the rest of the GI looks good but it is not my case and I may not find out what this is

Any thoughts?

I would cut as well if chest is clean and leio make sense here or carcinoma penetrating the wall
