This accident happened several weeks ago and the dog is doing well but I promised I would post the image to see if anyone thought this was a fracture. It sure looks like it but from a physics point of view I was always taught that the pelvis is like a pretzel and will need to break in at least 3 places. This does not seem to fit the physics of a pelvic fracture that we have been taught but radiographically it sure looks like one. Is it possible to break this point of the pelvis with the unfortunate precise injury? We realize it is irrelevant clinically but going forward it would be nice to straighten this out.
Thanks. Brent.
