Colonic or ileal mass?

Sonopath Forum

Colonic or ileal mass?

– 9 yr old Ragdoll ADR, weight loss and anemia, low albumin

– u/s showed a large liver mass, abdominal LN enlargement and a mass at the ileocecal junction

– I am having a hard time determining if this is in the ileum or the colon? I think it is the ileum?

DDx: lymphoma, adenocarcinoma, FIP, other less common neoplasias

Looks like the ileocecal
Looks like the ileocecal junction and with the other masses lymphoma and metastatic carcinoma highly likely. FNA is indicated.

EL

Yes lymphoma, carcinoma, FIP,

Yes lymphoma, carcinoma, FIP, complicated IBD and lymphadenitis…Low albumin in a cat Im lookign for lesions like this as I see it a lot in GI LSA cases. So for me low albumin always merits and ultrasound.

FNA and consider PCR or PARR for lsa if the fna is not definitive.
