Ectopic ureter, hydronephrosis, hydroureter, and ureterocele in a 3 year old MN Labrador Retriever
A 3-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever dog was presented for evaluation of decreased appetite, possible polyuria and polydypsia, taking longer to urinate than normal, and hematuria. On urinalysis, isosthenuria (1.016), 3+ protein, white blood cells, and red blood cells were present. Stress leukogram was evident on CBC, but serum chemistry was within normal limits.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia and an inguinal testis (unilateral cryptorchidism) in an 11 year old male mixed breed dog
An 11-year-old M canine mix was presented for evaluation of prostamegaly with history of being neutered as a youngster. Blood testosterone level was elevated, consistent with an intact male. CBC showed leukocytosis with a left shift.
Prostatic carcinoma diagnosed by FNA in a 10 year old MN Bichon Frise
A 10-year-old MN Bichon Frise was presented with a history of prostatomegaly during rectal palpation and a painful lumbosacral spine. CBC and blood chemistry analyses were normal. No urinalysis was performed
