History: An 8-year-old NM Labrador Mix with a history of being on Rimadyl for 6 months was presented for evaluation of intermittent vomiting, inappetence, and lethargy for a week. A 5-year-old intact female Border collie that was last in estrus a year ago was presented for evaluation of vaginal bleeding and decreased activity and appetite. On physical examination, the abdomen was painful and tense and there frank blood from the vagina. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were leukocytosis, monocytosis, and hyperglobulinemia.
