– 9 year old FS DSH history of chronic diarrhea unresponsive to metronidazole, hypoallergneic diet

– bloodwork unremarkable and fecal sample negative for parasites

– now losing weight

– ultrasound showed a single section of bowel that had a thickened submucosal layer and slightly thickened muscularis – rest of loops look normal.

– trace effusion seen; small normal looking jejnual LN’s

DDX: lymphoma, IBD, possibly FIP, other?  biopsy warranted

Can these processes diffusely affect only one section of bowel like this?
