The patient is a 6 year old intact female Gothic Squirrel monkey. The patient has a palpable abdominal mass.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Uterine mass which could be potential hyperplasia versus emerging neoplasia. There is a minor cyst in the left ovary.

Image Interpretation

The uterus in this patient was enlarged and measured 2.23 x 1.55 cm. It appeared encapsulated with irregular, nodular changes. The right ovary was uniform at 1.2 x 0.8 cm. The left ovary, which measured 0.96 cm, presented minor, cystic change.

Comments

Ovariohysterectomy is recommended.
