A 9-year-old FS Chinese Crested dog was presented for evaluation of intermittent hemorrhagic chronic diarrhea. Fecal was negative. Blood work showed hypolbuminemia (1.1) and hyperglycemia (442).

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Subacute pancreatitis

Image Interpretation

The right limb of the pancreas was irregular with mixed hypoechoic changes and swollen, distinct, hypoechoic differentiation from the surrounding fat and mesentery. The pancreatic duct was dilated at 0.26 cm.
