DX

Mild chronic bronchitis pattern; Consider laryngitis/tracheitis to play a role here next to the possible airway disease based on the clinical examination

Image Interpretation

right lateral and VD thorax – The lung volume is within normal limits. There is a mild generalized
bronchointerstitial pattern within increased bronchial markings and mineralization of
the bronchial walls. Mild pleural thickening is noted. There is no mediastinal
widening. The course of the trachea is within normal limits

Outcome

The changes are within the expected range of a
geriatric lung and not necessarily responsible for the current clinical presentation. Potential differntials for the airway disease mainly
include viral, bacterial, parasitic and allergic. Complete workup would require
bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage and fecal examination
