This 6 year old FS Lab/Hound mix has a history of polyarthritix in the elbows and stifles. PE: painful right front limb with decreased muscle mass

DX

Image Interpretation

Ultrasound of the right shoulder:

Deep to the biceps tendon level with the cranial aspect of the shoulder joint a small amount of anechoic effusion with some echogenic foci is seen.

Outcome

At this point pathology in the right shoulder rotator cuff can be ruled out as
underlying cause of the right thoracic limb lameness in this dog. However, a mild
amount of joint effusion was noted which is compatible with the known polyarthritis.
