Previous left ACL repair left stifle; contra stifle exam today.

Image Interpretation

Ultrasound of the right stifle joint
Scant anechoic effusion is noted within the suprapatellar recess and infrapatellar recess of the right stifle joint. The synovial membranes are mildly thickened. The infrapatellar fat pad is mildly heterogenous.
There is an emerging osteophyte at the proximal periarticular margin of the femoral trochlea.
The cranial cruciate ligament is continuous, well delineated and reveals a regular echo pattern. No periligamentous effusion is noted.
The caudal horn of the medial meniscus is not directly seen. The visible portion of the medial meniscus is in situ, uniform in echogenicity and smooth in outline.

DX

The ultrasonographic examination of the right stifle joint is compatible with an emerging mild degenerative joint disease

Outcome

There is no evidence of cranial cruciate ligament failure of meniscal pathology at this point.
