Mesenteric Root Mass in a 10 year old MN DSH cat
Sonographic Differential Diagnosis
Most likely biliary cyst adenoma. . The origin of the mass could not be determined, but is likely pancreatic or bile duct origin.
Image Interpretation
There was a mass effect coming off of the caudal liver. The mass was made up of numerous cysts of various sizes and measured 7.5 x 4.5 cm. The gallbladder presented thin walls with normal primarily anechoic content. The cystic and common bile ducts were normal.
DX
At the root of the mesentery: mass with purulent fluid, mass was not resectable.
Comments
Surgical removal and histopathology of the mass is recommended
