Gastrointestinal fabric and linear foreign body.

Image Interpretation

Image 1 and 2: The pyloric outflow was obstructed by a fabric type foreign body continuing in a linear fashion through the small intestinal lumen with accordion pleating and anchored in the jejunum. Image 3: Mild fluid dilation stomach.

Outcome

The dog was treated with IV fluids, Pepcid, Cefazolin, Fentanyl patch, and a food trial. There was a good improvement and after being discharged the owner reported that the pet was doing well. The foreign body was present with mild to moderate gastric fluid accumulation. Given the patients response to rehydration and medical treatment the patient passed the abnormal material.
