A 5-year-old NM Labrador with a history of seizures and surgery for removal of a linear foreign body 5 months ago was presented for evaluation of chronic diarrhea for the past two months that had not responded to metronidazole, Tylan, probiotics, bland diet trial, and Cerenia.

 

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Urachal remnant. This appears resectable. Minor, micropolypoid cystitis pattern.

Image Interpretation

A 1.0 cm urachocele/urachal remnant was noted in this patient with minor, apical bladder wall thickening. Surgical resection is recommended.
