 A 7-year-old SF Boxer with a history of recent surgical removal of left kidney and adrenal for hemangiosarcoma was presented for evaluation of lethargy.

 A 7-year-old SF Boxer with a history of recent surgical removal of left kidney and adrenal for hemangiosarcoma was presented for evaluation of lethargy.

 

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Abdominal seeding pattern. This is consistent with disseminated hemangiosarcoma given the patient’s history. This is non resectable. The seeding involved the pancreas and omentum throughout with adhesions involving the gastrointestinal tract.

Image Interpretation

The abdomen presented a moderate amount of free fluid. The caudal abdomen revealed a mixed hypoechoic, nodular and mildly to moderately complex mass. Nodular omental changes were noted throughout the abdomen.
