Prior ultrasound in January 2011 and June 2011 showed a left adrenal gland that measured 3 x 1.4cm with subtle loss of shape.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Left adrenal mass. Although this measures approximately the same size as previously, today’s images were compared to the prior images when a mild loss of shape was noted. Today’s scan shows an oval to round left adrenal with no normal shape.

Image Interpretation

The left adrenal was enlarged and measured 3.06 x 1.2cm. There was loss of corticomedullary detail and increased blood flow. The right adrenal gland showed normal size and structure.

DX

Unilateral adrenal enlargement

Outcome
