06-00041 Lizzy W Cystitis—NEEDS SI, SDX——

A 7-year-old FS DSH cat was presented for hematuria. On physical examination there was discomfort on palpation of the bladder. Abnormalities on urinalysis were 2+ proteinuria, 2+, glucosuria, and 4+ hematuria (4+). The patient was treated with Convenia and Depomedrol and fed the DM diet due to concerns of possible diabetes. Serum fructosamine level was, however, within normal range. The patient was presented several days later for ongoing hematuria and inappropriate urinations. The patient was treated with Clavamox followed by a decreasing dose of Prednisone pending ultrasound.
