A 3-year-old male DSH was presented for evaluation of chronic vomiting with normal appetite. Blood work was within normal limits.

Sonographic Differential Diagnosis

Gastric infiltrative pattern. Suspect lymphoma. There is a minor potential for gastric carcinoma or granulomatous disease. Some retention of ingesta or hair accumulation.

Image Interpretation

The stomach was dilated with fluid and progressively shadowing material. This is potentially hair accumulation. The gastric wall revealed a hyperechoic, luminal infiltrative pattern. The small intestine was unremarkable. FNAs were performed and submitted for cytology. This is strongly suggestive for infiltrative disease such as lymphoma. This appears localized to the pyloric outflow tract and mid stomach.

DX

FNAs were suggestive of lymphoma.

Outcome

None

Pancreas – pancreatitis
