A 9-year-old SF Border Collie was presented for evaluation of a 2-day duration of diarrhea, anorexia, and lethargy. Additional history was medically treated hypothyroidism. On physical examination, tachycardia, polypnea, tense abdomen, and hematochezia were present. Abnormalities on CBC and serum biochemistry were mild neutrophilia, elevated PCV and proteins, and hypokalemia.
