Any guesses on what’s going on in this bladder?

Any guesses on what’s going on in this bladder?

  •  13 year old/spayed Pekingese, bad athritis and weak in hind limbs, sits to urinate, can’t hold self up.

  • In December urine culture came back as Beta Hemolytic Strep (no cancer cells seen in urine)- dog had trouble urinating, also couldn’t control bladder, urine was bloody, puss discharge. Ultrasound in Dec was suspicous of cystitis.

  • Put on Simplicef and Rimadyl, cleared up.  Has had 2 more bladder infections since. Bloods normal
  • considering doing the CADET BRAF test

Large amount of hyperechoic

Large amount of hyperechoic sediment – most likley from retention cystitis. Is she able to empty her bladder fully – if not most likely dealing with neurological disease.

I agree with Remo,

I agree with Remo, Lumbosacral CT ideal here. You will see this in intact males with chronic prostatic disease as well.
