acute weakness

Sonopath Forum

This 10 yr old lab mix had episode of acute weakness one month ago. the patient was taken to the er. She had increased rrr, drooling. she was treated for gi upset. It took the dog one week to be able to stand ,walk around with ease. she was taken for abdominal ultrasound a few weeks after episode and no lesions were found. The history gave me suspicion of pericardial bleed eventhough a month later we scanned. I would like opinion on possible pericardial effusion near atria. In one of the still images the hyperechoic region on the right was just cr to heart base.

Am I seeing something in right heart? thanks everyone

There is residual pericardial

There is residual pericardial effusion without tamponade because the right atrium is not collapsed. That looks like clot/fibrin in the pericadrial space and I dont think a mass because HSA grows in this area and it doesnt last a month it grows faster than a month time fram. I think idiopathic here but maybe scan the abdomen looking for other neoplasia.
